Romanian Deadlift (RDL)

This lift done properly will challenge the whole of your posterior chain (traps, erectors, glutes, hamstrings, etc.)

My cueing on this is designed to get your back as horizontal to the floor as you can get it. It’s a posterior chain lift, however, I want to put as much bias onto the back muscles (even over hamstrings, which are typically dominant in this lift) as possible.

One cue not covered in the video is head and neck position. Try to maintain not just a neutral thoracic and lumbar spine, but a neutral cervical (neck) spine and head tilt as well. Just the slightest of chin tucks will ensure that; which translates to better glute muscle involvement giving you that much more stability into, through, and out of the hinge portion of the lift.
